A wine I enjoy during the summer is Sauvignon Blanc. In particular, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is one of my favorites. The biting, citrus flavors pack a powerful punch. Marlborough is New Zealand’s largest wine district, with nearly 79% of the country’s total wine production. It should come as no surprise that more Sauvignon Blanc is planted in Marlborough than any other grape variety.

This was the first bottle of our French wine to pop open. We’ve been eagerly awaiting opening a bottle since they arrived. A wine I’ve been enjoying quite a bit recently is Sauvignon Blanc. With its fresh, crisp, dry taste, Sauvignon Blanc provides a refreshing touch on a hot afternoon. Sauvignon Blanc is a green-skinned grape originating from the Bordeaux region and Loire Valley of France. Location: Mendoza, Argentina
Purchased: The Corkscrew
Price: $5.99
I’ll admit it. I didn’t have high expectations for the Trapiche Falling Star, but at $5.99 a bottle we had to try it. We’ve been drinking more Sauvignon Blanc as of late. I keep dreaming it’s summer, and I’m sitting on the porch sipping a glass of Sauvignon Blanc instead of watching it rain or snow. Jonathan and I opened this bottle over the weekend and were pleasantly surprised.

A Consistent Kosher Joy: Riesling: The Fruity, flowery – but not too sweet – varietal is just right for any white-wine lover
Many people remember Riesling as the sweet, fruity wine they drank as a youth. Germany is the natural home for many Rieslings. However, fine wines are produced all over the world. While some Rieslings are sweet, others are dry with fruity characteristics. The Riesling grape is a delicate variety, requiring a soft touch and experience to grow. Many Rieslings undergo a long, cold fermentation in stainless steel vats.
